A Message from our Committee ChairWelcome to the Troop 59 website.
I hope that you'll find the site useful and
visit often. Northern New Jersey Boy Scout Council. Our Charter organization is Archer United Methodist Church in Allendale, New Jersey.
Troop 59 was established and first Chartered in 1922. This year Troop 59 is proud to celebrate our
85th continuous year of Scouting in
Allendale. we are able to offer to all our Scouts.
Our adult leaders are, quite simply, THE BEST. Their skilled & knowledgeable leadership coupled with dedication and the love of Scouting provides an excellent environment for our boys to grow through Scouting. We currently have 75 Scouts who enjoy the challenge, fun and adventure of Scouting.
Advancement is an integral part of Scouting. It's hard to imagine our "newbies" rising through the ranks and attaining Eagle Rank. This year, in June of 2007, we honored 6 Scouts who have worked to achieve the Eagle Rank.
and involvement in community activities are integral parts of Scouting in Troop 59.
Troop 59 is a 'boy-led' troop and we are committed to fostering and encouraging the skills needed in order for our Scouts to not only lead our troop, but to become successful, motivated,
energetic leaders beyond Scouting as they move into
adulthood. |
